Side Launch: Wheat

Second International Special!

It has been a good long while between updates but it was worth it!

This is the second of the two drinks our very generous and kind guests from Canada brought us on their visit over New Years of 2016.

So I guess you could say it has been in my fridge for almost a year.

Well it aged well!  Maybe its because I really needed it after a long, dull and disappointing Friday (so bad that I am writing this review, drinking this beer on my lonesome on a Friday night) but I have to say, this is one of the best Wheat beers I have ever tasted!

Slightly sweet and silky smooth with the light characteristics common with a wheat, this drop had me wanting more.

Savoring each swig, it is definitely more full bodied and flavorsome than your average wheat.  The read-up states it uses traditional special yeast served unfiltered in its natural state with proteins.

With light banana and cloves with a palatable citrus aftertaste, this would go well with almost any kind of salad but again I think of my host mums killer greek salad back in Lillooet, BC.  Alternatively – a shrimp cocktail or squid ring tapas would go very well with this.

Enjoy this one if you are ever in Collingwood, Ontario – just try not to drink the brewery dry as I likely would if and when I make it there.
